About the Artist: Larry Wold

Larry has earned Master Taxidermist status with Upland Game Birds, Waterfowl, Large Mammal Shoulder Mounts and Fish. He has won Best Overall Taxidermist 2 times in the state of South Dakota. He has also won a First Place at the National level with Upland Game Birds.

Now living in Armour, South Dakota, Larry originates from Anchorage, Alaska, and is fortunate enough to hunt and fish throughout the United States. He has collected multitudes of reference photos as well as experienced animals in their natural, real life settings.

We are Cabela's endorsed and are the Taxidermist of Choice for some of South Dakota's largest and most established game preserves and wild bird hunting lodges.

Larry graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelors degree in Commercial Art and Model Making. He uses these skills to enhance the posing and composition of his taxidermy work.

In addition to working as a taxidermist, he has worked as a Professional Sculptor and Model Maker for over 18 years. This has allowed him to work with major corporations throughout the world replicating items in scale with exact perfection.

Over the years, Larry continues his involvement with several local and national hunting and fishing organizations such as the NRA, Pheasants Forever, the NWTF, Ducks Unlimited, and the North American Hunt Club.
